Kudu are often called the ‘grey ghost’ but they are, generally speaking, one of the easiest of the clan to get close to. On foot I have watched them at time no more than two rod lengths away, close enough to see the drool as they fed. It can be done if you have the wind, a good position and can sit still.
This bull is feeding peacefully in classic late afternoon sunlight. I got the images before the light went, let him feed on and slipped away. Catch and release.
